Looking for mediterranean table decor ideas with plenty of color? Blue patterned plates, bowls of lemons and little green sprigs give you so much to work with.
These pictures include full table settings, simple napkin details and a few ideas for your buffet or dining backdrop.
You can keep things simple or go all out with flowers. Start with a color combination you love, then pick the little details you’d like to bring to your own table.
Mediterranean table details worth saving
lemon slices and blue goblets
We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous blue and yellow table. I love the lemon slices showing around the tall vase, plus those bright yellow flowers above them.
Pair blue goblets with lemon-patterned plates to follow this look. The little blue and white pots are another pretty detail worth keeping.
fish and shell plates
How cute are these little fish and shells? The blue drawings keep the cream-colored dishes simple, but those wavy edges make them a little different.
If you don’t want a table full of busy patterns, try plates like these with plain white napkins.
green sprigs and a little tag
If you are looking for a simple place-setting detail, this one is for you. A white folded napkin holds long green sprigs, with a brown tag tucked into the bow.
Try adding your guests’ names to little tags for your own version. You don’t need bright plates to make this look pretty.
floral wall candleholders
These are a dining-backdrop idea rather than tabletop decor, but how pretty are the little floral designs? Blue, red, yellow and green borders surround the glowing candles.
For a similar display beside your table, I’d choose flameless tealights in wall-mounted holders. Keep the different shapes if you love this collected look.
blue napkins and fringed placemats
I am obsessed with these blue napkins and round tan napkin decorations. The fringed edges and little heart-shaped centers are so cute!
The long fringe around the placemats is just as pretty.

There’s plenty of pattern here, from the tiny flowers on the plates to the blue and white table covering. Keep your napkins a solid color if you want to try the same mix.

wide stripes and oranges
The oranges are so cute against these wide blue and white tablecloth stripes. White tulips fill the middle, with solid blue napkins layered with white at the place settings.
Instead of putting all your fruit in a bowl, try spacing a few oranges between the flowers like this.
pink and amber goblets
This color combination may just be one of my favorites here. I love the pink goblets beside the amber ones, especially with those pale flowers.
Knot a dusty brown napkin over plain white plates to follow this setting. The small amber flower bottles are worth a closer look too.
grazing boards at dusk
Want to decorate a buffet instead of individual place settings? This one gives you plenty of ideas. Boards of grapes, cheese and sliced meats sit at different heights, with glowing black lanterns between them.
Try a white tablecloth underneath your serving boards so the food and lanterns can be the main decorations.
lemon-patterned tray
Don’t want to change your whole table? No problem!
A tray like this gives you yellow lemons, green leaves and blue patterns in one small spot.
I especially love the mix of large fruit designs and little patterned squares. I’d leave some of the base uncovered rather than filling every corner.
flowers beneath hanging lights
If you are looking for something a little more all-out, then this one is for you. There are pink, purple and yellow flowers all along the table, plus large glowing bulbs above.
The leafy canopy is gorgeous. For a smaller version, try a few colorful flower jars down the center of your table beneath outdoor-rated string lights.
bright pink flower runner
I love this bright pink flower trail. It stretches along a narrow tan runner, with white dishes and clear glasses on either side.
You don’t have to add lots of other colors here. Those pink blooms already give you plenty to look at.
lemon bowls and leafy pots
This is actually one of my favorite mediterranean table decor ideas. The bowls piled with lemons look so pretty beside the tall silvery-green leaves.
Start with blue and white patterned dishes if you want this look. Then bring in yellow napkins and a mix of blue and yellow glasses.
round boards and tall tapers
There’s so much to love on this buffet, from the round bark-edged serving boards to the reddish-brown plant pots. I especially like the tall white candles in gold-colored holders.
Try serving your snacks on stands of different heights like these. Leave space around each one so guests can reach what they want.
rosemary and blue bows
How pretty is this little napkin detail? Rosemary sprigs sit beneath blue bows, with a fine blue border running around each white napkin.
Tie a narrow ribbon around your rolled napkin, then tuck a sprig beneath it to try the same look. No extra napkin ring needed.
a tipped basket of lemons
I am obsessed with this lemon display. The basket rests on its side so the fruit looks like it’s spilling out over the green leaves.
Whole lemons sit beside halves and wedges, which makes the arrangement a little more playful. Try this on a side table if you’d rather leave your dining table open.
colorful grazing table
Who needs a huge centerpiece when the food is this colorful? Grapes, berries, cheese and sliced meats fill the boards, with bright flower jars along the back.
The baskets of bread are a lovely touch too. Keep plates at one end and napkins within reach if you’re putting together your own spread.
hydrangeas and lemon drinks
This little drinks table is so pretty. I love the blue and pale green hydrangeas beside the pitcher and glasses filled with lemon-slice drinks.
The blue floral tablecloth and patterned lemon bowl bring in even more blue. Save this one if you want a separate spot for pouring drinks.
breadsticks and red checks
Breadsticks in a bright yellow tomato can? Such a cute detail!
Red checked napkins, vine tomatoes and a tall container of dry spaghetti carry the food-themed look across the table.
The pictured baguette holds lit tealights. I’d skip the open flames in bread and use separate proper candleholders or flameless lights instead.
a white bow and pink flowers
This napkin may just be my favorite little detail on the list. The white bow shape sits across a menu card, with green leaves and pink flowers tucked beneath the center tie.
Try the same fold on a round braided placemat. The pale green glasses are a pretty addition if you want another hint of color.

lemons and pale roses
Last but definitely not least, we have this lovely lemon and rose table. I love the open looped edges on the round placemats!
Pale roses sit above the greenery while lemons run along the white runner. Keep your napkins white and loosely knotted if you want to follow this softer-looking setting.
