20 Celebration of Life Table Decor Ideas With Personal Touches

Looking for celebration of life table decor that feels personal? Favorite photos, a few flowers or a little nod to a much-loved hobby are lovely places to start.

These ideas include simple centerpieces, memory displays and small details you can adapt for your gathering.

You don’t have to fill every corner of the table. Choose the pieces that remind you of your loved one, whether that’s bright sunflowers or a collection of everyday snapshots.

Thoughtful table ideas for remembering someone special

photo runner and a lantern

We’re starting with this lovely black-and-white photo runner. The overlapping pictures stretch down the white table beneath leafy branches, tiny white flowers and a tall lantern.

I love how the photos reach right toward the edges. For your own table, use copies of favorite snapshots so the originals can stay safely tucked away.

white flowers and silver accents

If you’re looking for a little shine without a large display, this one is for you. A narrow vase of white flowers sits beside a glowing candle on a round reflective tray.

The silver-colored ornaments are a pretty extra touch. You could leave them off if you’d rather keep the flowers and candle on their own.

a branching memory tree

Want to display pictures without covering the whole tabletop? This memory tree is a beautiful option.

Small photographs hang from bare branches rising out of a large clear vase.

Keep the pictures spaced apart like these so each one has room to be seen. A small table beside the entrance could be a lovely spot for your version.

little pumpkins and family photos

I love the little white pumpkins scattered along this photo display. The green and dusty pink flowers add color between the black-and-white pictures, with white plates arranged on either side.

If you’re planning a fall gathering, try a few small pumpkins rather than a whole seasonal centerpiece. The photos can still be the main part of the table.

layered frames and trailing flowers

This is a lovely way to bring several framed photos together. Gold-toned and silver-toned frames sit at different heights among white flowers and trailing greenery.

You don’t need every frame to match. Choose a larger portrait for the back, then arrange smaller pictures in front without hiding the faces.

sunflowers and a loose bow

Don’t want a big bouquet? No problem.

This small sunflower arrangement has bright yellow blooms in a clear jar with a loose tan bow, all on a round bark-edged base. It’s a pretty idea to save if sunflowers were a favorite.

a bow-tied guest book table

The oversized bow is my favorite detail here. The white table covering gathers beneath a small guest book display, with white roses, greenery and a reflective rectangular box above.

For your gathering, leave space beside the book for guests to write. A separate little table like this keeps it from getting lost among the other decorations.

floating flowers and candles

How pretty are these purple and yellow flowers? They float between white candles in a low clear bowl, with rounded clear pieces visible underneath.

This gives you a different way to include flowers without a tall vase. If your venue doesn’t allow flames, look for flameless floating lights for your version.

sunflower remembrance packets

These brown packets have such a sweet little detail: a bee on each visible envelope flap. The fronts feature a large sunflower illustration and a message inviting guests to sow sunflower seeds in remembrance.

You could arrange similar packets in a shallow tray beside the guest book. Keep the illustrated fronts facing up so the message is easy to find.

a gone fishing centerpiece

If your loved one enjoyed fishing, this is a thoughtful direction to take. The pebble-filled jar has a fish decoration across the front, a red-and-white bobber at the side and a “Gone Fishin” sign above.

I especially like that the hobby becomes the decoration. You could add a favorite fishing photo beside your centerpiece.

butterflies and pale pink flowers

This butterfly display is so pretty. Pink, blue and pale gold-colored butterflies sit around a cream birdcage, with pink and white flowers gathered at the base and along one side.

If you like this look, keep some of the curved bars visible rather than covering the entire cage with flowers.

sunflowers daisies and purple blooms

Here’s another sunflower idea, but this one has a fuller mix of flowers. I love the white daisies and tall purple blooms around the bright yellow sunflower at the front.

The jar has a tan wrap and a small tied bow. Try a similar loose arrangement if you’d like your table to have a garden-inspired feel.

photo holders above small bouquets

These little arrangements pair white flowers with photographs held above them in spiral clips. The cream dotted, tan and black containers each have a small bow around the middle.

The pictures shown are graduation-themed. For a remembrance table, you could use the same setup with photographs of meaningful milestones from your loved one’s life.

pale blue and white

If you’re looking for a soft blue table setting, this one is lovely. Pale blue flower clusters sit among cream roses, with a matching runner and folded blue napkins.

The scattered white petals are a pretty finishing touch. You could borrow just the flower colors if you don’t want coordinated place settings.

white lilies around a candle

Don’t want to mix lots of colors? This white lily arrangement keeps things simple.

Open blooms and green buds surround a central candle in a clear cylinder.

I’d choose a flameless candle for a version placed close to flowers and leaves. You can keep the same look without an open flame.

a life well lived photo board

There’s so much to look through in this display. A folding board holds rows of photographs beneath “A Life Well Lived,” while framed pieces, printed keepsakes and a blue baseball cap sit on the table.

This is a lovely option if you want more than flowers. Include objects connected to your loved one alongside pictures of both milestones and ordinary days.

a portrait beside the sharing table

Your food table can include a personal detail too. Here, a framed photograph sits above platters of cheese, crackers, sliced meats and fruit, with flowers and glowing candles nearby.

I love the pink and red flowers against the dark table covering. For your version, give the photograph its own clear spot behind the serving area.

lavender roses and little portraits

This is one of my favorite ways to combine flowers and photos. Lavender roses and tiny white blooms rise above a clear bottle, with black-and-white portraits arranged on slender sticks between them.

Try copies with pale borders like these. Keep the pictures below or beside the larger flowers so neither one hides the other.

candle cylinders and tiny white flowers

I love this cluster of white pillar candles with tiny white flowers around the bases. The clear cylinders sit at different heights on a gray-blue runner.

You don’t need to add a larger bouquet to follow this idea. Flameless pillars would also be a good option if you want to tuck flowers closely around the holders.

small pink rose arrangements

Last but not least, we have these lovely little rose arrangements. Deep pink, blush and cream blooms sit in square clear vases with small pink flowers and green leaves.

If you’d rather spread flowers along the table than have one large centerpiece, try a few small arrangements like these.
