Looking for fruit garland christmas inspiration with pretty orange slices and little red bows?
There’s plenty to choose from here, from simple citrus strings to greenery covered in fruit and lights. A few coordinating ornaments and table decorations are included too.
You can keep things simple or go all out. I especially love the citrus hanging in front of windows.
Fruit Garlands and Christmas Decorating Ideas to Save
orange slices and trailing ribbons
We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous mantel garland. I love the orange slices and dark red berries hanging beneath the greenery.
That cream bow with its long ribbon tails is so pretty.

Try a loose dip across the front of your mantel to show off each slice. If you include candles, keep flames well away from greenery and ribbons or choose flameless versions.
popcorn and cranberries
How cute is this garland in progress? The white popcorn sits between red cranberries, with dried orange slices spaced along the strand.
If you want to follow this combination, leave little stretches of popcorn between the fruit. You don’t need every section to look exactly the same.
apple slices and striped string
I am obsessed with the red-and-white string in this one. The little bows look so sweet beside the pale apple slices and deeper orange rounds.
This is a lovely option if you want to mix fruits rather than stick to citrus. Keep the star-shaped apple centers showing where you can.
red baubles and oranges
If you are looking for something with lots of Christmas color, then this one is for you. There are whole orange shapes, citrus slices, red baubles and berry clusters tucked into the greenery.

I especially love the large pinecones and cinnamon sticks. Choose a few of those details for your own garland if you don’t want quite so much going on.
citrus down the table
Don’t want to hang your garland? No problem!
This orange strand runs right down the middle of the table over trailing greenery and pinecones.
The beige plates and folded napkins keep the rest simple. I’d use flameless pillar candles if placing them this close to the foliage.

a simple staircase strand
This staircase idea may just be one of my favorites here. I love the small green sprigs hanging between the orange slices and red berries.
Try draping your strand along the outside of the spindles like this, leaving the handrail clear. It’s a pretty alternative to a thick greenery garland.
citrus ornaments with red bows
How adorable are these little bows? These are individual citrus ornaments rather than a fruit garland, with a pale bead strand looping behind them.
Keep the long red ribbon tails if you want to try the same look on your tree. I love how they hang below the slices.
a glowing kitchen window
This kitchen window looks so pretty with greenery, little lights and a red bow at the top. The fruit details aren’t clear enough to identify in this photo, but the window framing is worth saving.
For a fruit version, you could hang a separate orange-slice strand beneath the greenery. Leave the middle open so you can still enjoy the view.
figs grapes and candlelight
Want a fruit-filled table without a hanging strand? This arrangement mixes apples, red grapes, dark fruit and halved figs around white candles.
Those pink fig centers are my favorite detail.
It’s a centerpiece rather than a strung garland. Borrow the long, winding arrangement for your table, using flameless candles if you want to nestle them among the fruit.
hanging citrus and white bows
I am obsessed with these hanging citrus strands. The yellow, orange and deep pink slices look gorgeous with the little lights and white bows.
Try several vertical strands instead of one long swag if you want something a little different. Keep some space between them so the slices don’t disappear behind each other.
a red bow above the window
If you’re looking for a simple way to frame a window, go with this mixed citrus strand and a big red bow. One length hangs down the side while another curves across the shutters.
I love the mix of golden slices and much darker rounds. There’s no greenery here, which lets you see all those different colors.
little stars and berry strands
There is so much to love in this window garland. The orange slices catch the daylight, red berry strands run through the greenery and tiny star shapes hang between them.
Those stars are such a cute extra touch. Add a few small star ornaments to your own citrus display if you want to borrow that detail.
lots of red berries
The red berry fans are going to love this! Instead of citrus slices, this mantel is covered in bright red berry clusters and trailing green branches.
It’s a berry-focused alternative to the orange garlands above. I’d keep the surrounding decorations simple and let those big clusters be the main detail.
whole fruit and citrus slices
This is another full mantel look, but it’s a little different from the others. I love the pink-red apple shapes beside the bright oranges and tiny red berries.
A separate citrus strand hangs across the front of the greenery. Try that same layered arrangement if you want both whole-fruit decorations and slices in your display.
a gingerbread village garland
How cute is this little village? The gingerbread-style buildings have white roof patterns and tiny windows, with orange slices hanging in dips below them.
The greenery and little lights make it even prettier. If you already display miniature houses, try adding a citrus strand along the shelf underneath.
a festive shelf above the sink
Here’s a wider view of that village display, showing how it sits above the kitchen sink. I love the small tree on the counter and the oranges beside it.
You don’t have to decorate every surface. A garland along one shelf gives you plenty to enjoy while leaving the sink and most of the counter clear.
orange slices and white beads
Don’t want to add greenery or red berries? No problem there! This strand pairs orange slices with little groups of round white beads.
I love how simple the colors are together. Try it across a shelf if you want the orange slices to stand out against a darker background.
stacked citrus and pinecones
These little hanging decorations are so cute. Each one has red pieces at the top, stacked orange slices, a green citrus shape with pale vertical lines and a pinecone below.
They’re individual ornaments rather than a long garland. You could use them near a citrus strand to carry the same colors onto your tree.
cranberries and acorn details
This is a pretty way to bring more woodland details into your fruit decorations. Red cranberry strands curve around layered citrus slices, acorns and a large pinecone with pale tips.
I especially love the acorns next to those glossy red berries. Borrow that pairing for a garland displayed along a shelf or laid across a table.
pastel stars and citrus
Last but definitely not least, we have these citrus strands with pale blue, green and gold-toned stars. I love this softer color combination!
The strands are laid out across a striped surface here. Try hanging yours against a plain wall so you can see the pointed stars between the round fruit slices.
